Allen Footh

The Carrington Chamber & EDC honors Allen Footh, water delivery driver for Central City H2O, as Employee of the Month for March. The nomination form states, “Allen always delivers water when he says he will be there. He organizes the water jugs in a neat and orderly fashion. He always lets us know the delivery day ahead of time. He’s a good employee, courteous and friendly.” He received a framed certificate and $20 in Carrington Cash from the CCEDC. Congratulations Allen!

Ribbon Cutting

Hydration Station

Recently, Carrington Chamber Ambassadors visited the new business – Hydration Station located at 930 First St S. A ribbon cutting was held with owners Jim & Mary Skadsem, to recognize their new business start-up. They are open Mon – Fri (and occasional Saturdays)from 6 am to 2 pm serving up delicious teas & shakes! We welcome the Skadsems and Hydration Station to Carrington! Hollydazzle Salon

The Carrington Chamber and Economic Development Corporation Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting on March 11, 2024 for a new salon, Hollydazzle Salon, in Carrington. Hollydazzle Salon is located within Studio Five at 40 Tenth Ave N. The owner, Holly Stangeland, is excited to start a business in Carrington an can be reached 763-227-2216. Central City Wellness Center

On July 19, the Carrington Chamber & EDC held a ribbon cutting at the new Central City Wellness Center at 950 Main Street.
The wellness center just recently opened and is now offering classes and memberships. People of all ages can reap the benefits of this new business on Main Street.
The CCEDC Ambassadors had the opportunity to see the new fitness equipment, future sauna and more.
Office hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30 pm to 8 pm or by appointment. Stop by to learn more about the center and what it has to offer.

Basil by Travis Wong

Carrington Chamber & EDC Ambassadors were pleased to hold a ribbon cutting at Basil by Travis Wong. This business was started in February 2022 by Travis Wong offering cooking classes and community education in our region. Travis has extensive experience as a chef and has a passion for cooking and educating people on great cooking. Located in the Nodak Mutual Insurance building at 930 First St S. The rental space provides space and seating for approximately 10-12 people at a time. For more information or to get in on a fun cooking class, contact Basil via Facebook or Instagram.

High Plains Equipment

The Carrington Chamber and Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) Ambassadors made an appearance at the new High Plains Equipment building on Highway 52-200 Tuesday morning, March 14. This facility is a wonderful asset to our community and ag producers. Participating in a plaque presentation and ribbon cutting ceremony were, left to right: Ambassadors Vern Anderson and Chad Hoornaert; Tyson Pfingsten of CNH Capital; Ambassador Kimberly Cook; Tom Haarstad and Bill Stansbery of Case IH; High Plains Equipment Owner John Swenseth (holding scissors); Ambassador/Mayor Tom Erdmann; CCEDC Director Laurie Dietz; Ambassador Bob Lipetzky; Bob Hatten of Bremer Bank; and Ambassadors Scott Buchholtz and Chris Bichler.
